While this shop is 1.5 hours away from me, I try to visit it at least once a month. They have very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff who strive to give you a great experience. Their selection of new issues is terrific and they are well-stocked on back issues at a super reasonable price. They are active and easily accessible through Discord, making every effort to fulfill any request as quickly as possible. Definite 5-star experience with this shop!

Stronghold Collectables is hands down one of the best comic stores in the South. As a Dallas native and long-time collector, I’ve visited a lot of shops — but none quite like this one. They cater to a wide variety of interests, ages, and fandoms, creating a space where everyone feels welcome. Whether you’re new to collecting or a seasoned fan, you’ll find a community of like-minded, nonjudgmental people ready to connect and share the love.
The Strong family truly lives up to their name — always greeting you with the strongest smile and uncanny ability to help you find exactly what you’re looking for, from comics to collectibles. The selection is top-tier, and the atmosphere is just as impressive.
If you’re looking to build friendships, feel at home, and support a lovely local comic shop (LCS), look no further than Stronghold Collectables. They’re doing it right.
